Mary Magdalene is more than just a biblical figure. For the wisdom seeker of today’s world, her teachings offer practical accessibility to grace, empowerment, unity, and compassion. Sanctuary 1: The Basic Chakra

From Conception to 18 Months Old

This time correlates to the development of the Root/Basic Chakra, and how we are treated during these early months of life sets the building blocks for our relationship to fear, safety, and self-confidence.  If we learn to fear our bodies, or aren’t confident in them, this can directly impede a connected embodiment of pure expression.

Sanctuary 2: The Sacral Chakra

From 18 - 36 Months Old

When the Sacral Chakra becomes compromised during this time of life, we can carry forward suspicion, fear, and a lack of being able to vulnerably connect with the desired levels of intimacy in our adult relationships.

Sanctuary 3: The Solar Plexus Chakra

From 3 - 5 Years Old

This stage correlates with the Solar Plexus, and as guilt takes precedence over ‘inner-knowing,’ the energy can become imbalanced and break down. As with the proceeding centers, if our Basic and Sacral are not solid and balanced through an allowance of pure expression, our Solar Plexus - which can be stunted in its own right by inept social and cultural messages - becomes blocked and our ability to listen to our body’s natural alarm systems is compromised.

Sanctuary 4: The Heart Chakra

From 5 - 12 Years Old

This Stage correlates with the Heart Chakra. When our Heart Center is compromised, we can feel sick about everything. This feeling can progress from feeling sick to feeling broken and isolated - especially as the world we live in gives us continual messages about love and its crucial position in our lives, with no reliable set of directions on how to achieve or maintain this preferred state. When our Heart Chakra is out of balance, we can spend our time desperately looking for someone to love, never realizing that the love we need to survive, we must give to ourselves.

Sanctuary 5: The Throat Chakra

Teens - Twenties

When our Throat Chakra is open, our voice is also open and free, and our energy center is balanced. When the energy flows, we can see and hear truth from the perspective of a higher spiritual plane. We don’t question ourselves or quiet our voice. We know what needs to be said, how to say it for the best and highest good, and we trust in our abilities to do both simultaneously. When the energy center is out of balance, this all feels much different.

Sanctuary 6: The Ajna Chakra

Twenties - Forties

Just like Ajna reflects the balance of the other 5 chakras, this Stage in life can reflect the other 5 Stages in either their health or their dis-ease. If we can shift our perspective and intuit higher levels of understanding from the Divine, the act of compromise in a partnership can be seen as an act for the Greatest and Highest Good. When this happens, the health of the relationship is the priority. This minimizes resentment and allows space for clearer sight, clearer divination, clearer intuition, and clearer understanding of our inner wisdom. At this point, a point of deep and balanced connection to one’s Higher Self and to another’s Higher Self, conscious and unconscious compromises by one or both people in the relationship can take place without producing negative feelings. We can literally begin to see things differently.

Sanctuary 7: The Crown Chakra

Forties - Onward

It is the Crown Chakra that connects us to our bliss body and during this phase of life, typically, when the veritable to-do list of the other phases has calmed, we can slow ourselves down enough to experience more orgasmic bliss throughout everyday existence. The connection to our Crown connects us to the Universal Web of All Living Things. When we come into this energetic space primed and balanced, we become a conduit to more easily access the Universal One-Mind. 

Who told you who you were and what to be - and why did you believe them? We are inundated with rules, regulations, and top-down dominion around our thoughts, beliefs, choices, and behavior. Today’s expression and acceptance of this invisible stranglehold is nothing new.
